Getting To Plymouth

Rail

Plymouth is served by Great Western Inter-City trains from London Paddington. This journey takes about 3.5 hours. There are also direct servies from Wales, the Midlands, Northern England and Cornwall. Train times can be found via the Railtrack journey planner and tickets can be purchased from thetrainline.com. Note that pre-booked tickets are usually substantially cheaper than those bought on the day of travel.

Air

Although Plymouth has an airport, it is not very useful unless you are travelling from Eire or the Channel Islands. Otherwise, fly to either Bristol or any of the main London airports and continue the journey by coach or rail.

Coach

National Express run coach services to Plymouth from a variety of locations including London Victoria and Heathrow Airport.

Sea

Plymouth has a long naval history. As such it is not surprising that ferries connect it to both Roscoff (France) and Santander (Spain). These are run by Brittany Ferries.

Getting to Tamarside College

Bus

The numbers 16, 63 and 64 busses stop right outside the college. They can be caught from Saltash Road, just outside the railway station.

Road

Tamarside College is a little way off of the A38 in Kings Tamarton. A map can be found via streetmap.co.uk.

From A38 Devon Expressway Westbound, take the St.Budeaux slip road (this is the last slip road before the Tamar Bridge) followed by the first turn on the left into Roman Way. Travel up a small hill to junction with Trevithick Road. There is a small park located on the left. Just after the park is a left turn which takes you to Tamarside Community Technology College.
