Measurement sites and platforms



Background measurements of trace gases and aerosols are carried out from Finokalia (35o 19' N, 25o 40' E; 130 m asl) by the University of Crete. During the MINOS measurement campaign these measurements will be intensified and extended.
A Falcon jet aircraft, operated by the German Aerospace Center (DLR), will perform trace gas measurements from the surface throughout the troposphere from Heraklion Airport.
