MINOS Figures List
Click on the appropriate link (below) for the set of figures showing a comparison of MATCH-MPIC and observations for several of the gases measured on each flight
First impressions:

CO
Sometimes dead on (Flight 010801a), mostly "reasonable", sometimes misses plumes in the UT

O3
Generally slightly (10-20%) underestimated, especially in the MT

CH2O
Major problem in the UT (always underestimated), usually underestimated in the MT, normally okay or slightly underestimated near the surface

CH3OH
Major problem in the LT/MT, almost always underestimated, usually okay or slightly underestimated in the UT

ACETONE
Ouch! Underestimated by a factor of 3-10 everywhere!

NO
Usually okay in the LT and MT, but nearly always completely missing plumes in the UT (where are they coming from??)

PAN
Significant (often > 10x) underestimation in the LT and MT (amazing that so much PAN can exist at those temperatures!), usually okay in the UT

JNO2
Aha!!! It tracks the observations well but is *always* 20-30% too low! Maybe this helps explain some of the troubles we've had with NO being underestimated in the past (should also help the O3 problem noted above)!
